Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the sale and fitment of batteries by Battery Exchange ("the Company") to its customers ("the Customer"). By purchasing a battery from the Company, the Customer agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.

 
Definitions

Company: Refers to Battery Exchange.
Customer: The individual or entity purchasing and/or fitting the battery.
Battery: The battery product sold and/or fitted by the Company.

 

Orders and Payments

Order Placement: Orders can be placed online, over the phone, or in person at any of our exchange centres.
Payment Terms: Full payment is required at the time of purchase. Accepted payment methods include cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic funds transfer (EFT).
Pricing: All prices are inclusive of VAT and are subject to change without notice.

 

Delivery and Collection

Free Delivery: Free delivery is available within a 10-kilometre radius of any exchange centre. Standard shipping rates apply beyond this range.
Collection: Customers may opt to collect their batteries from any exchange centre during business hours.

 

Installation and Fitment

Professional Fitment: The Company offers professional fitment services. If the battery is fitted by the Company, it will qualify for the standard warranty policy.
Customer Fitment: If the battery is not fitted by the Company, the Company does not guarantee the replacement of the unit in case of issues.

 

Warranty

Warranty Coverage: Batteries fitted by the Company are covered under the standard warranty policy, which protects against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
Warranty Sticker: The warranty sticker must remain intact on the battery. The code on the sticker must match the number in our database to validate the warranty.

 

Returns and Exchanges

Return Window: Batteries can be returned within 30 days of purchase if in original condition and packaging.
Exchange Policy: Batteries can be exchanged within 60 days of purchase for a different model if unused and in original condition.
Return Shipping: The Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the battery was received damaged or defective.

 

Limitation of Liability

The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the purchase, fitment, or use of the battery. The Company's total liability is limited to the purchase price of the battery.

 

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of South Africa.

 

Privacy Policy

The Company is committed to protecting the Customer's privacy. Personal information collected during the purchase process will be used solely for order processing, delivery, and customer service purposes.

 

Future Discount

Customers who have their batteries fitted by the Company will qualify for a future 15% discount on their next battery purchase, provided the warranty sticker remains intact and matches the Company's records.

Amendments

The Company reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Customers are encouraged to review the terms periodically for any updates or changes.
